The Nerang Cinemas Secret!
My first thought was it might be a tatty old cinema. Not at all. The cinemas are small, but clean, new and well kept and the staff are friendly. The cinemas at Nerang are particularly great for family movie goers because the ticket prices are significantly lower than anywhere else on the Gold Coast. I find ticket prices at Nerang are usually about half or even less than half the cost of a usual cinema ticket! There's a 3D screen and projection system in one of their theatres, so watch out for movies that are 3D you will save a packet by going to Nerang.
One of their quirks is that they can be a bit slow with the tickets and Candy Bar, but it is worth it. They have streamlined their ticketing since I first wrote this page and I have found in 2009 the queuing seems to be a bit faster. However, always make sure you have plenty of time, just in case. There is free parking around, but it does get busy especially on school holidays, weekends and when the Nerang Sunday Markets are running. You can check out the map here to find exactly where Nerang Cinemas are. I am really fussy about making sure I have pinpointed exactly. Parking is free in the local Earle Plaza car park, but it does get busy. You can park on some of the adjoining roads. But that is why I suggest you leave plenty of time. If you click on the movie icon you can then follow instructions to get directions or zoom in to that spot. Other Gold Coast Cinemas
