The Gold Coast theme parks including DreamWorld, MovieWorld and Sea World are constantly changing and creating new rides and areas.

When they make changes they have to close rides down for redevelopment or upgrades. In general, major redevelopments are noted on their respective websites in advance.

Smaller seasonal maintenance is usually noted on the website or at the park entrance when you arrive, often little notice is given so it is worth checking 2 weeks before you go.

The theme parks are busiest during our main Australian School holiday times, and unless it is a major or urgent closure the theme parks all try to ensure that as many of their main attractions are open and working, especially during these busiest times.

I am sorry I cannot definitely give you an answer, but I suggest you check their websites Ride Maintenance areas for more up to date information (as it is always changing!).

Movie World Ride Maintenance Information

Sea World Ride Maintenance Information

In addition to the main theme parks, the water theme parks at Gold Coast - Wet n Wild, White Water World and Sea World Resort Water Park also have some of their rides and slides closed for maintenance during winter months and Sea World Resort Water Park is generally closed from the end of April to the beginning of September.
