Australian Gold Coast in September
Springtime in Paradise! It's warming up - not that it was cold!
Gold Coast in September is definitely the place to be! Spring has sprung, the flowers are blooming and the local strawberries are the sweetest!
There's plenty to do this month both indoors and outdoors. There's pretty much all the possibilities of the Gold Coast available to you to enjoy.
For lovers of kite-surfing, kite-boarding and windsurfing this is a great time to visit the Gold Coast! I can't promise wind, but statistically it's a windy month here!
You can choose - Broadwater for flat water sports or the ocean for surf sports!
The humpback whales are heading south with their calves! They haven't eaten since leaving Antarctica so they are pretty keen to get home to all that krill!
A whale and calf together is an awesome sight and taking a whale watching cruise is one of the best ways to see this. Don't miss it!
During September being up on Mt Tamborine is a great place to experience the spring flowers and gardens and just a hour north in Brisbane they are celebrating their river with Riverfire and Riverfest. Check out September events for more details.

For Australian Visitors
Spring on the Gold Coast is a fabulous time to visit. The weather is warm to hot but the humidity is low.
It can be windy during September so great for sports such as wind- and kite-surfing and sailing!
Air-conditioned family accommodation with a heated swimming pool is highly recommended.
For Visitors from Overseas
September is a great time to visit the Gold Coast.
School holidays are staggered across Australia but if you can choose your dates you may be able to save on accommodation costs by picking early September.
September can be windy which is great for sports such as sailing, surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing.
