What To Do Brisbane Airport Night Arrivals

If your flight arrives in late to Brisbane and you have to travel to the Gold Coast you have two main options. Stay overnight in a hotel near the airport or make your way to the Gold Coast straightaway.

My personal preference is to get to my destination as quickly as possible and most Gold Coast accommodation is between 1 hour and 1 hour 40 minutes from Brisbane Airport.

My reasoning is that until I get to my ultimate destination, I don't really feel like I am on holiday! By going straight to my final accommodation I only have to:

• check in and out of accommodation once
• unpack and repack once

This way I am at my holiday destination ready to start really holidaying when I get up in the morning. Granted it might be a little later start, but I'd rather get to my end destination and get settled in.

How To Get To The Gold Coast Late After Brisbane Airport Night Arrivals?

The Airtrain service which normally runs between the airport and Brisbane City and then on to the Gold Coast doesn't run 24 hours a day, so if you arrive after about 6.30pm you need to organise another option to get from the airport.

Another tip regardless of whether you stay near the airport or travel to the Gold Coast is to let your accommodation know you are going to be arriving late. By letting them know what time to expect you, they can arrange for you to get into your accommodation.

If you are staying in a larger hotel that is not likely to be a problem, but many of the apartment buildings don't run 24 hour receptions.
